Ladies Night is a social meetup where we (women) can be ourselves, find strength in each other, and be you. Take a break and make it about you. Join our monthly celebration of us! Meet new friends, old friends, potential mentors/mentees, future collaborators, and other ladies that celebrate your accomplishments.
We know that social norms have piled a lot of responsibilities on women, and we want to help the women of our community come together and have a break from that never ending to-do list. Just show up, and the hardest part of your evening will be decided on what kind of beverage to have.
Q: Are men allowed?
A: There will not be any exclusions of men from businesses operating during their normal business hours, but some retail and service businesses may want to allow ladies only. If that is the case, we will include it in the calendar posting for that particular event.
Q: Who are the target participants?
A: Women and queer folks who identify with femininity that would like a night out where they are the priority. We anticipate friend groups and meetups to be common.
Q: Will there be introductions?
A: Wear your work/association name tag, but we’ll have extras if you don’t have one. Bring business cards if you have them
Q: What if I'm an introvert?
A: This is a social and networking event, but we understand some of you are not always comfortable in these settings. If that is the case, you are welcome to observe from the sidelines or find a HDP representative who will introduce you to a ‘safe’ new friend.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Many folks will be coming from work. Any attire is acceptable, northwest casual is encouraged.
Q: How does this event support the hosting business?
A: Purchased not required to participate, but if you can afford to purchase something from the business for yourself or a friend that is encouraged to support our hosts.
Q: What does HDP get out of this?
A: They are donating 10% of all purchases during the event to HDP. Purchase a drink from HDP’s mobile bar to further support Downtown work.
Q: What if I don't drink alcohol?
A: Alcohol drinking not required, non-alcohol beverages will also be available for purchase.
Q: What if I do drink alcohol?
A: There will be good selection of alcohol drinks at each location. If the host doesn't serve alcohol, HDP will have the Downtown Mobile Bar on site. We also ask that you have a safe plan for getting yourself and your friend’s home.
Q: Where should I park?
A: Two hour parking zones end at 5:00 pm throughout Downtown, so there are lots of parking options.
